Andrew Lane, CEO of Fluid World, said “A year ago, on the same day, my wife and my 12 year old son separately found Pusheen online. They immediately fell in love with the cat, as everyone does, and my whole family said “Daddy you have to licence Pusheen, ‘like you do’ so being a good father and husband, I contacted the Pusheen team and hopped on a plane to meet with them. A year later, nearly to the day, we have beautiful Pusheen licensed product at retail.
The brand was instantly taken by Marks & Spencer, Urban Outfitters, John Lewis, Claire’s Accessories, ASOS and H&M, All of these retailers have repeated (some of them three times) within the first ten days of launch. We have also been contacted this week by Harrods who would like an exclusive range.
Claire Belton, Pusheen's creator, visited London with her team and Fluid World last week. We visited retailers and met licensees but the highlight was the Pusheen Take Over event at Lady Dinah’s Cat Café, Andrew Lane said “The event was a great success, there is such a buzz around the brand with both retailers and licensees.”
